When a software is developed it takes a lot of creative effort and accordingly it must be protected with a copyright. This maintains the distinctive nature of the software. It is also true that when Service Consultant is copying the software, its only intention is to provide a better interface and service to the customer which in turn will increase the productivity in all levels. Service Consultant have not been hires by the software vendor. If that were the case, then the vendor would not have been suing the Service Consultants. Here, SC is under a contract where it is mentioned that it will provide service for the software made by the vendor.
